Worship & Growth

We offer many opportunities and modalities for fellowship and growth throughout the week.

Life Groups: Sunday mornings | 10 am

Life Groups meet each week to systematically study the Bible together. Our Life Group leaders are not Bible scholars but rather Christians who love Jesus and want to grow in their relationship with God and in knowledge of the Bible, just like you.

We have Life Groups for all ages and the nursery is available for parents with little ones. Breakfast is also available for the children in our fellowship hall starting at 9:30 am.

Morning Worship: Sunday | 11 am

Worship begins on Sunday morning with a mix of beautiful and classic hymns with more modern and uplifting worship songs to turn our hearts in worship and praise towards the Savior. We then have a time of fellowship to engage with our fellow brother and sisters in Christ and also warmly welcoming visitors to the service. Following this, the children have the opportunity to leave for children’s church before the message begins. Our pastor, Billy Welsh, will then deliver the message for the day. He makes it a goal to preach through each verse in a way that is understandable and applicable to those who are just beginning to follow Jesus as well as those who have been a disciple for many years.

If you visit us for morning worship, please stop by the welcome desk for a warm cup of coffee & a pastry before the service. When you are ready turn in your completed visitor card and don’t forget your gift bag.

Young Adult Ministry: Sunday | 1 pm

Young Adults (ages 18 to 45) in our church meet each Sunday after our morning service to share a meal and discuss the morning message. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions about the message and have a more in-depth discussion than is able to be had during the worship service.

We also sometimes have game days or enjoy a hike together when the weather is nice. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and have some fun while also encouraging each other to grow closer to the Lord.

Evening Bible Study: Sunday | 5 pm

Assistant Pastor David Smith leads a study in the Sanctuary each Sunday evening. It’s a relaxed and engaging time of studying God’s word together. Currently, they are taking a deep dive through the book of Colossians.

Many of our older members love this Bible study time together and would be overjoyed if you would consider giving a try.

MidWeek Connect: Wednesday | 6 pm

Each Wednesday evening we meet in the fellowship hall for a delicious meal from 5 to 6 pm. After which, the men and women, the youth and kids each head to their respective Bible studies. For many of us, this is the midweek pick me up we need. The more casual setting encourages questions and discussion and often leads to much deeper Biblical understanding.

If you haven’t tried a Connect group yet, consider spending a Wednesday evening with us soon.

Our Amazing Team of Pastors

Pastor

Billy Welsh

Billy Welsh has been our pastor since October 2020. Prior to pastoring here, he served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, traveled preaching in over 300 churches, pastored a church in Knoxville, TN, and worked as a plumber for 3 years.

He has been married to his wife, Lauren, since December 21, 2005. They are proud parents to two children, a son, William who is kind, imaginative and was born in 2006, and a daughter, Hosanna, who lived on this earth for 19 days and has been living in Heaven since July 2011

He came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior in September of 2009 while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Meeting Christ forever changed the trajectory of his life in wonderful ways. He has since had the opportunity to lead many friends to Christ, disciple others, and be an encouragement to his brothers and sisters in Christ, sometimes in unexpected ways (especially while working as a plumber). He has a bachelor’s degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary, a Master’s in Ministry from Luther Rice College and Seminary, and recently received a Doctorate of Ministry with a focus on Discipleship from Liberty University.

Assistant Pastor

David Smith

David has been our Associate pastor since March 2023. David and his wife Tracy served in the United States Marine Corps where they met in the mess hall at Camp Lejeune, NC. They were married in April 1983 and have resided in McMinnville since December 2011.

David and Tracy are proud parents to a Navy veteran, Dustin, and grandparents to two beautiful boys, Davin Taylor, and Daelyn Thomas.

Although growing up in church and a Christian home it was not until September 2017 that David came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior. After coming to know Christ David felt Gods calling on his life to continue his education and serve in the local church, David completed his Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies with Grand Canyon University and started on his Masters in Pastoral Counseling and Community Chaplaincy with Liberty University.
